Too often, people aren’t dying in ways that match the goals and values of how they live their lives.
End Well Symposium Speaker – Jessica Zitter, MD
While dying is often presented in the movies as a heroic journey into personal transformation, the reality is that a good death doesn’t happen alone. Ending well requires a tremendous amount of collaboration, resourcefulness and resilience – traits that define a strong sense of community. In this session, a cross-section of creative perspectives – from health care to hip hop – lend momentum to how we might build the infrastructure and emotional capacities to care about – and for – each other on personal, cultural, institutional and civic levels.
End Well is a first of its kind gathering of design, tech, health care and activist communities with the goal of generating human-centered, interdisciplinary innovation for the end of life experience.
