“I wanted to show the world my perspective on the Life of Death.”

Episode 38: Marsha Onderstijn, Animator – The Life of Death
As a film-maker and storyteller myself, Marsha Onderstijn’s animated short film, “The Life of Death,” opened my eyes to a whole new viewpoint. As a young minimalist, Marsha has created a hand-drawn masterpiece based on the simple idea that Death is in love with Life. Death has been portrayed throughout history in films, animations and stories, but within Marsha’s short film I recognized the human side of Death.
An animator from the Netherlands, Marsha studied at the St. Joost Kunstacademie in Breda, where she specialized in 2D animation. There is something special about her film that is resonating with millions around the world. “The Life of Death” has certainly captured lots of interest.
